Pre-School e'Pap and Formula Program

Most of the children who come to the six pre-schools where we support the teachers with stipends are living on one meal a day. That meal seldom provides any nutrition. Most of the poor people in Namibia eat a refined maize (corn) meal, bread and sugar that are deficient in many of the vitamins and minerals their bodies need.

We have made a commitment to provide e'Pap, which has all the necessary vitamins and minerals.

Why e'Pap and Formula?

• e'Pap requires no cooking so no vitamins and minerals are destroyed.
• e'Pap can be prepared and served easily by the pre-school teachers.

Currently, the HUGS Pre-School e'Pap Program ensures that almost 200 children have the nutrition they need each day to be alert healthy learners.
